Introducing Venti scaled “Rachel”! Sculpted by Laura Skillern Sailer. Rachel is cast white resin, with her base (other than acrylic rod and posts) being resin as well. In the prepping process, I drilled deeper into the resin so the acrylic rod is a bit more stable, and permanently affixed the acrylic rod into the post (less of a chance of losing a very important piece!). Painted then in pastels and pigments for a rich, shaded warm bay. Detailed further in artist grade acrylics. Rachel sports a small star, a snip, and a sock. Multi-colored eyes and hooves, and yes, her front hooves do have painted shoes complete with tiny nails! Sealed in many layers of testors dullcote, with glossed eyes, hooves, and nostrils.

Posts, running fence piece with affixed rod, and base. Base is prepped, primed, and then detailed in acrylics and pastels. Posts do come out for easy transport. Horizontal running fence piece is painted white.
